I love this picture that Keely captured because it’s one of me genuinely laughing. (Probably at an “I barely know her!” joke… That I cracked.) I was with my favorite people in my favorite place sporting my favorite jacket to wear when camping. And I think I’d just eaten a s’more which is why I was covering my mouth. we sometimes do these really nice dinners at Bek’s house. this time around, some of the boys cooked for us, while us girls wore cute clothes and looked pretty. it is always so nice to just hang out with my best friends while we also look our best, simply for the reason that we can. I love this group of people. I also love the fact that, since graduating high school, our group of friends hasn’t shrunk from people drifting away. rather, it’s gotten even bigger! as a mi-distance runner, I THRIVE off of time on the track. cross country tends to be a rough time for me because it’s such a long period of time to train without track-based speed work. this season our coach added in a new xc workout on the track, and it gave me so much LIFE to do! here’s me draining my legs after the run, feat. mismatched socks :) - July 29.
